Getting “Good and Ready”: Queenstown Community Learns Emergency Preparedness Together
On 24 June, Lakes Multicultural Collective co-hosted a Good and Ready workshop alongside NZ Red Cross and QLDC Welcoming Communities. Over 40 community members came together to learn practical tools for emergency preparedness and build resilience across Queenstown’s diverse communities.

With the Pacific film Vai as our centrepiece, we honoured Tongan Independence Day and Samoan Language Week in the most heartfelt way: with powerful storytelling, shared kai, and a room full of connection.
