International Storytellers Film Series presents: “Life, Animated”

  • Frankton Library Hawthorne Drive Queenstown, Otago Region, 9300 New Zealand (map)

About the Film:

In honour of International Autism Pride Day, join us for a powerful and deeply moving screening of Life, Animated, an award-winning documentary that explores the incredible story of how storytelling can open up new worlds.

Based on the bestselling memoir by journalist Ron Suskind, Life, Animated follows the journey of his son, Owen, a young man with autism who learned to communicate through the world of Disney animated films. This uplifting documentary blends live-action footage, home movies, and beautifully rendered animation to explore the strength of family, identity, and connection through the power of stories.
